December 4, 2011

In here they’ve got a little tree, how queer
And who would ever think
And why?

They’re covering it with tiny little things
They’ve got electric lights on strings

This looks like fun
This looks like fun

Cars 2 Trailer in Lego

May 20, 2011

Patrick Boivin was commissioned to remake the Cars 2 trailer in LEGO. You’ll see some animated facial expressions because how else was he supposed to animate the cars faces. Very amazing.

Some fun facts:

  • Several thousand LEGO bricks were used to create the trailer
  • 3 months of animation
  • Was recorded 24 frames/second like the movie; it’s not common to directing stop-motion at 24 frames/second
