Porter! Mayoral duties! New stores! Who knows why on earth Nintendo of America refused to mention it at E3 or in their new Nintendo Direct.
Well, Animal Crossing 3DS will becoming to Japan this Fall and Europe in 2013. While this new trailer is awesome, personally I hope they release some official North Americans Animal Crossing info soon.
UPDATE: Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe are also holding Nintendo Directs. NOA’s is tonight at 9:00 PT and will be focused on 3DS, DS, and Wii. Watch it live here.
Original: Good old Nintendo is treating us to more news again on Friday! This is a Japanese Nintendo Direct, but I’d still expect some news that could apply to the world. It’ll be airing at 8:00 P.M. PT on the 21st. You can watch it live (in Japanese) here.
My wish for the event? News about Animal Crossing 3DS! “No Animal Crossing” was actually trending on Twitter after their 3DS E3 Software Showcase. They had to have noticed that right?
Nintendo Land, a Wii U launch title, was announced at today’s E3 presentation. It is a collection of 12 minigames set in a Nintendo theme park. Nintendo compares it to Wii Sports as it showcases interesting things the Wii U can do. Read all about it here.
At this Nintendo Direct Nintendo of Japan announced that Animal Crossing 3DS will be coming to Japan in the Fall. Besides that we’ve got a Japanese title (Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori, which translates to Leap Out Animal Crossing) and a handfull of new images, the first of which seems to depict the mayor’s office. The other images are below.
Just like the title of this post says, Amazon France has listed September 28th as a tentative release date for Animal Crossing 3DS. It’s not official by any means, but it’s a very plausible launch date.
News about Animal Crossing 3DS has been in very small batches ever since it was announced. Now we have this developer roundtable to dissect. Although it won’t mean much to non Animal Crossing fanatics, I certainly had a joyous time watching it. I would analyze it for you, but IGN already did such a great job I think I’ll just send you over there if you are curious.
Nintendo showed huge support for the 3DS at this years E3 with tons of fantastic first party titles, 4 of which are Mario games! I’ll do full posts on most of these later.
The Tanooki suit is back and it’s coming this holiday! I hope we see some flying action soon though. Looks incredibly fun. Love the possibility of 3D effects.
Just watch the trailer. More of what we’ve come to love plus so much more. Being an Animal Crossing fan you notice so many new things in this trailer. I can’t wait.
Luigi is back and he’s gonna fight some ghosts early-ish next year! This trailer looks particularly pretty (although I’ve heard the frame rates on the demos are, at the moment, slow). I really want to see this in 3D!
Star Fox 64 3D looks stelar. The multiplayer looks especially compelling. The release date (strangely enough) is September 11th of this year.
Kid Icarus: Uprising was shown with some incredible looking multiplayer at E3 this year. It looks to be quite fun (although I’ve heard the control scheme to be a little awkward). It is coming this holiday season.
Also The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is coming on the 19th of this month. It will be a good chance for many to pick up this beloved classic.
Paper Mario just looks like it would be a joy to view. The new popup book style is very compelling. The release date is TBA currently.
Overall, Mario Kart 3D’s trailer looked the best to me. Just watch it to see all the new fun things you’ll be doing if you get it this holiday season.
Yes, this holiday is going to be filled with excellent 3DS games. This is quite the list from all worlds of Nintendo. Which game looks the best to you?
Nintendo is now dropping the price of the Wii to $150 and to go along with is are lowering the price on a bunch of games and bundling the Wii with Mario Kart.
This new line of Nintendo Select titles will include Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (rumored), Mario Super Sluggers, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Wii Sports. They have a rumored price of $20, but I doubt this is true considering Wii Sports is in there. Although I don’t understand the removal of Wii Sports from the bundle (really Nintendo?) this seems like a fun way to prepare for project Cafe. Go here for all the images.
